Carmen Clara Pinho (née Sierra) passed away peacefully on June 5, 2024, at the age of 90. Carmen was deeply loved by her family and took great pride in their accomplishments. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Born to Serafin and Guadalupe Sierra on April 19, 1934, Carmen grew up in Hillside, New Jersey, after being born in Barre, Vermont. She was the proud owner of Greenbrook Memorials for 40 years, carrying on the family legacy as her grandfather owned Sierra Granite Company in Barre, Vermont. Carmen resided in New Jersey for many years before retiring to Barefoot Bay, Florida, in 2015. She graduated from Newark Secretarial School and attended Santander University in Spain.
Carmen had a deep love for the ocean, music, and treasured moments with her family. She will forever be remembered in our hearts and deeply missed. Carmen was predeceased by her loving husband, Frank Pinho, and her parents. She is survived by her dear children: Gregory Pinho, Joseph Pinho (Donna), Debbie Giordano (Dominick), and Lori Maroz (Tim). She is also survived by five beloved grandchildren: Breann Montero (Jason), Nicole Allen (Troy), Valerie Giordano (Tyler Strazzeri), Matthew Maroz and Michael Maroz. Additionally, Carmen is survived by three great-grandchildren: Chloe, Brooke, Kai Montero and her sister, Virginia Sierra.
May Carmen rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
A private interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, New Jersey, at a future date.
