It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caroline Christine Donath (Karan), who peacefully passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on June 12, 2025 at the age of 79.
Born in Milford, CT, she later moved to Cheshire, MA, and eventually settled in Vero Beach, FL,where she resided from 1985 until her passing in 2025. In her earlier years, she worked as a baker at Cheshire High School in Cheshire, MA, and later as a vocational teacher at the Vero Beach Corrections Center. Her passion for cooking and baking shone through in every dish she lovingly prepared.
Caroline was a natural nurturer, known for her boundless kindness and selflessness. She gaveof herself wholeheartedly, always putting her family first without hesitation. Her deep love extended beyond her family—whom she cherished with all her heart—to animals, who held a special place in her life. Her home was never truly complete without the presence of beloved pets. Caroline also had a profound appreciation for nature. She found great joy in the outdoors and was often found tending to her yard and lush tropical garden, a reflection of the care and warmth she brought to every part of her life. Those who knew Caroline and appreciated her deep love for nature also knew of her joy in beach-combing. She was an avid beach treasure hunter, often found strolling the shoreline in search of her next great find. Talking with the Lord, asking, “treasures, treasures from the sea, please send them Lord, from you, to me”. Whether it was a unique shell or a bucket full of driftwood, sea-glass and unique stones, she found true contentment in the simple beauty of the coast.
Caroline’s sharp wit and warm sense of humor could lift spirits and bring a smile to even the saddest heart. She had a remarkable gift for sensing when someone was in need of comfort. She would go out of her way to find the right words and offer support, always striving to be a source of peace and reassurance to anyone who needed it. Her faith and love for Jesus Christ were unwavering and deeply felt by those around her. When Caroline said she would pray for someone, it was a true gift—her prayers were offered with sincerity, compassion, and a profound spiritual strength that brought comfort to many.
Caroline is survived by her sons William Donath ll(Heidi), and David Donath. Daughter, Michele Stambach(Gary). She had many grandchildren who blessed her life including, Katelyn (Eric) Blaha, William Donath III, Matthew Donath, McKensie Donath, Anthony Donath Haley Stambach, Joshua Stambach, Isaac Stambach, Samuel Stambach, Elijah Stambach.
