It is with great sadness that the family of Cecelia Rose announces her sudden passing, June 20, 2019.

Cecelia “Ceil” was born on April 4, 1935 in Muskegon, Michigan. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School where she was voted Homecoming Queen of her 1953 graduating class.

She raised her family in Frankfort, Michigan for over 21 years. She was an active member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church, an inaugural organizer of the Frankfort Summer Art Festival, and enjoyed gardening, golfing and snowmobiling.

Upon retirement as an Office Manager from Frankfort Cold Storage, she moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1990.

Her blue eyes and infectious smile radiated the room. “Mom Rose,” as she was often referred to, was very kind and generous and loved by all. She will be missed by so many whose lives she touched.

She was an avid reader of any book she could get her hands on and also enjoyed golfing, walking, gardening, crafting, and sewing. She operated a small embroidery business until the moment of her passing. Cecelia will be forever remembered for her committed passion to St. Helen’s Church where she taught Adult Bible Studies for nearly 25 years, was active in the St. Helen’s Council of Catholic Women, and for many years helped to organize the Fall Harvest Festival.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roger Peter Rose; sons Michael (Denise), Bob (Debbie), Tim (Lisa), Ron (Deirdre); daughters Carol (David), Colleen (Gene); and 19 grandchildren and 19 great grand-children. She is preceded by a daughter Cheryl, grandson Jeffrey, sister Francis, brother Lawrence, and her parents.
