Deanna (Patton) Samons passed away peacefully from an extended illness in her home in Vero Beach on December 8, 2023. She was surrounded by family as she passed from this world to Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior. She was 78.
She was born May 14, 1945, in Martin, Kentucky to Charles B. Patton and Geneva Blanche (Crisp) Samons. She was the second youngest of five children. She was predeceased by two sisters Catherine and Sharon. She has two surviving siblings, Charlene and David.
Deanna married the love of her life, Jesse E. Samons, in April of 1963 in Wise, Virginia. Jesse Samons passed away in April 2015, and they enjoyed 52 years of marriage.
Deanna’s survived by two children, Jessica R. Samons (daughter), and Anthony D. Samons (son) and his wife, Holly K. (Russell) Samons; two grandsons, Dylan P. Samons-Knight and Cole A. Samons; one great-granddaughter, Cecilia C. Samons and many nieces and nephews.
She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help another. She accepted the Lord Jesus at a young age, and served with her husband, Jesse, who was also a pastor at First Church of God of Vero Beach and served in several ministries at Calvary Chapel of Melbourne, Florida. Deanna loved the Lord and read her Bible. She was an amazing woman, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be terribly missed, but we have the hope that we will all be reunited again with Jesus.
