Don loved his wife Joan, his family, his friends, and his church because he loved and served God. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on February 18, 1931. He died in Kindred Hospital, Rivera Beach on May 6, 2024 at the age of 93.

He was a fourth-generation railroader. He started as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Railroad and quickly moved to his favorite management position as a Train Master for the largest railyard in Conway, Pennsylvania. Don retired from Conrail after 37 years of service.

Don served with distinction in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in Vero Beach, working on Grace Grove. In 2008, he was a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Each year, Don and Joan were able to travel, driving cross country to California where his twin brother Rick lives, and going to as many National Parks as possible. He also enjoyed cruising and touring many places such as Alaska, the Caribbean, Central and South America, as well as many overseas places and cities.

Don was an active member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Vero Beach, Florida.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan Kenney; his twin brother, Richard Kenney; sons, David (Joan) Kenney, Brian (Brenda) Kenney; four grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Maryjo Kenney; and former spouse, Faye Kenney.
