Edward Nelson Wright, Jr., age 74, passed away on April 21, 2016 in Vero Beach, Florida.
He was born March 26, 1942 in Winthrop, Massachusetts to the late Edward and Alice Wright.
Edward was a graduate of Suitland High School, class of 1959 and received a Bachelor�s of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
Mr. Wright was a United States Air Force Veteran serving as an airman and receiving honors such as AFGCM, SO G-77, and Hq WAADS. He was also served as Worshipful Master and Grand Lodge Secretary at the Masonic Lodge in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Edward retired in 1983 from Prince George�s Police Department in Maryland. In 2008, he celebrated a second retirement from Portsmouth, New Hampshire as a Chief Juvenile Justice Parole and Probation Officer.
He is survived by wife, Judith Wright; daughter, Karen Clement; son, Stephen Wright; sister, Lauren (David) Brown; and grandsons, Brennen and Tyler Wright.
He was predeceased by youngest son, James Daniel Wright and grandson, Russell Wayne Clement, Jr.
There will be a memorial service held 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, 475 43rd Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32968. A Masonic Service will be at 1:30 pm before the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children�s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
