Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Eileen M. Clune, age 81, passed away peacefully Saturday after a brief illness in Vero Beach, Florida, where she primarily resided.
Born and raised in Endicott, New York, daughter of Joseph Stancati and Ann Conti, Eileen lived most of her adult life in Chicago where she pursued her long career in wealth management after graduating from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. She also spent much of her time in her beloved home in the mountains of Colorado before transitioning more recently to Florida. Eileen’s life was marked by her Catholic faith, a very successful career, and a deep love for her family and friends.
Eileen’s passion and spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her tremendous support of others, her sharp wit and the countless memories she created with those she loved. Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts.
She is survived by her loving children: Megan McCormack and Robert Douglas of Saunderstown, RI, and John Clune and Sheri Vanino of Lakewood, CO. Eileen was a proud grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Jack, Jane, Isabella, and Mia. Eileen is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Diane Stancati of Toledo, OH, and her nieces and nephews, Joseph, Michael, Jennifer, and Andrew.
A mass of Christian burial will be held to honor her memory at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 10 a.m., with a reception immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Roundup River Ranch of Gypsum, Colorado. https://roundupriverranch.org/support-us/donate-now/
May her soul rest in peace.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

Dear John, Sheri, Isallbella and Mia; Meaghan & Robert, Jack and Jane as well as to your extended families. Sounds like you had an amazing Mom, John! A wonderful heritage she has passed on to you and Meaghan’s families. She was the same age as me, and I think that had we have met, we’d be good friends with some common, beautiful, interests! God Bless you all at this sad time, but if you believe in Jesus, you WILL MEET AGAIN!!! Lot’s of love from Aunti Pat and families

Eileen and I grew up in Endicott, NY as best friends from grade school through high school, sorority sisters and in each other’s wedding. Many wonderful memories to enjoy and hold. As our careers and families put many obligations and miles between us, we still occasionally managed to stay in touch and get together. I shall always treasure those times.

My condolences to the family. When I was 12 years old I visited Endicott with my mom and dad Emilio and Theresa Fucci and my nephew Greg. Think Eileen was teaching then so she got two 12 year old girls to go miniature golfing with us. Still remember that. She came out to visit in California many years ago and my brother Dom and I had a very nice visit one night with Eileen. Rick Fucci

Even though I had known Eileen only a few short years, we shared much including a bond with Roundup River Ranch, our faith and love of the Rocky Mountains. A wonderfully giving woman who so loved her family. May she rest in peace.
