Elizabeth Ann Dean, age 85, passed away February 4, 2025 in Vero Beach, Florida.
She was born in Atkins, Arkansas to the late Woodrow and Geneva Cheek and moved to Rockledge, Florida in 1964, before her final move to Vero Beach, in 2006.
Elizabeth was a graduate of Harding College, class of 1962.
Mrs. Dean worked for the Brevard County School District/Saturn Elementary, where she taught first grade for over 30 years. She was a member of Vero Beach Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Allan Dean; children, Jason (Vicki) Dean, Timothy (Sue) Dean, A’Lana (Jerry) Cutshall; grandchildren, Ellyn (Monty) Veal, Sarah (Hunter) Knight, Austin (Meghan) Dean, Garrett (Brittany) Dean, Madison (Dylan) Wolford, Kaitlyn Cutshall, and Mason Cutshall; great-grandchildren, Leland Veal, Levi Veal, Carly Veal, Allyn Dean and Beckham Dean; sister, Alta Cheek.
She was predeceased by her brother, Terry Cheek.
A Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2025 with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Vero Beach Church of Christ, with Tracy Moore officiating.

My heart breaks for each of you. Liz was a jewel in every. She will be missed every day but now she is rejoicing with our savior Jesus Christ.

I’m so sorry. She was a true Teacher of 30years – that’s rare! She looks lovely and you look like her A’lana. She saw Jesus before us which is amazing. I know she will be greatly missed by all of you. We love you A’lana and are praying for peace & comfort through this time.

Our sympathies to the families and Charlie. Liz was a dear sweet friend and mother to our DIL. She was so good to our son. She will be greatly missed !!! But she is enjoying her reward.
