Eugene Joseph Marcinak, 83, of Vero Beach, Florida and Marine City, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He was born in Hamtramck, Michigan to the late Joseph and Stella Marcinak.
Gene was a graduate of Hamtramck High School and Central Michigan University. After a few starter jobs he spent his entire working career at Chrysler Corporation in Information Technology (IT), beginning in the early days of computers until his retirement in 2001. He was always on the leading edge of computer and security technologies, retiring as head of Corporate Computer Security Worldwide.
Gene loved the outdoors: hunting, fishing, boating, and golf. He always said that he was a better boater than a golfer and he was. He loved boating and his boating vacations in northern Lake Huron. He thoroughly enjoyed the time he took his boat north on the Intracoastal Waterway from Vero Beach to his home in Michigan. Additionally, he was an excellent bowler.
He had a great sense of humor, loved a good time and was a good friend to many. He will be missed! He was a long-time member of Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club, Vero Beach, FL; St. Clair Golf Club, St. Clair, MI; and the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club, Grosse Pointe Shores, MI.
Gene is survived by his loving second wife of 42 years, Prudence McIntosh, and his loving daughters, Karen Marcinak and Kathryn Marcinak.
A Visitation will be held 9:30-11:00 a.m., Monday, October 27, 2025, with a Prayer Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m., at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

Gene and Prudy were always fun to be with and were generous friends! He was just a great guy! He will be missed! Ken & Pat Q.
