Uncle Gene was my last surviving uncle, I believe he was the last survivor of the Robert O. Carlile-Betty Lou McAfee nuclear family and spouses. I first met him around 1954 when I was just a kid and he married my Aunt Dolores. Didn’t see him often, but enjoyed visiting with him. He lived a full life and will certainly be missed. Condolences to all the family.
