Ford Ransom Park, died unexpectedly on May 10th, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born on September 5, 1925 in Buffalo, NY to the late Ford Ransom Park and Ethel Parker.
Ford attended public schools in Hamburg, NY.
He held baccalaureate and masters degrees in engineering from MIT and served in the US Navy in World War II.
His career included teaching at the University of Buffalo and Pace University in White Plains, NY as well as an engineering position at Union Carbide.
A career change to editing saw him at McGraw Hill, Scientific American, and Innovation the latter of which he helped found.
He ended his career at Xerox Corporation in corporate communications.
Ford was a Boy Scout, a passion he shared with his father and his sons.
He was an avid tennis player and at one time held both national and Florida USTA rankings.
Ford leaves his wife, Judith. They were married in Mt. Kisco, NY on April 21, 1990.
In 1994 they moved to Vero Beach.
Survivors include his daughter Anne Park-Seldomridge (Brit) of Smyrna, DE, son David J. Park (Connie Kwan) of San Ramon, CA, and step children Robert B. Randall (Jeannine) of Cary, NC, S. MacNair Randall of Bethlehem, PA, and Anne Baxter (Joseph) of Flemington, NJ, and granddaughter Anabel Grace Baxter of Flemington, NJ.
He was predeceased by his first wife Maura Dempsey and son Brian R. Park.
At Ford�s request there will be no service.
