George J. Farrell, 83, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Newark, New Jersey and moved to Vero Beach in 1970, returning in 2007 after 14 years spent in Red Lodge, Montana.
Mr. Farrell had served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1954.
Mr. Farrell had attended Seton Hall University, New Jersey.
He was the owner of Farrell�s Cabinet Shop in Ft. Pierce, prior to becoming a general contractor.
Mr. Farrell was a member of Countryside Homeowners Association, Humane Society of Vero Beach & IRC volunteer and he was on the Government Review Board of Red Lodge.
He survived by his wife, Jean Farrell; three daughters, Cindy DiMaio, Kathy (Ellis) Greene and Debbie (Bob) Smith all of Vero Beach; step-son, Chris (Suzanne) Rick of Orange Park; grandchildren, Joe DiMaio, Andrea DiMaio, Jasaline Greene, Amanda Greene, Alison Lekniskas, Justin Scarborough, Jamie Brazie, Christopher Rick, David Rick, Adam Rick & Matthew Rick; great-grandchildren, Colton, Brandon, Hunter, George, Abbi, Dylan and Hayley; and sisters, Mary Winkelman and Eileen Beesley.
Mr. Farrell was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Farrell; parents, George and Elizabeth Farrell; and sisters, Lorraine Capraun and Margaret Tarullo.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, August 2nd at First United Methodist Church, 1750 20th St., Vero Beach, with Pastors Rebecca Oliver and Jeremy Rebman officiating.
