Gerard Dorato, age 64, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, in Vero Beach, Florida. He was born in Mineola, New York to Gerardo and Frances Dorato. Gerard was employed by Jenna Concrete in Bronx, New York as a Shop Steward for thirty-two years. He moved to Vero Beach from Hicksville, New York and was a member of the Moose Lodge and Teamsters Local 282.
Survivors include his wife Susan, children Ashley (Richard), Matthew (Emily), Brianne (Khary); stepdaughters Jennifer (Cesar), Valerie (Alex), Sharon; grandchildren Jameson, Luke, Mackenzie, Rylynn; dogs Harley and Bandit and many friends that became family.
Gerard was predeceased by his father Gerardo Dorato; his mother Frances Dorato (nee Pullella); and his nephew David C. Balsamo.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Elks Club, 901 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, New York 11040.
