I miss my Mom. She always had a smile for me. She would say “thank you” when I did any little thing for her. I’m 61-years-old now, but I’ll always be her “little girl”. The first thing she would ask me when I would visit her at Hidden Lakes Senior Community was would you like something to eat? She thought we were at home near the end, so she would tell me what she had cooked that day and what was in the refrigerator and tell me to look and see what I would like to have to eat. She loved and missed her two sisters. She spoke of them often. Many times we quoted little ditties her sister, Carol, would use: Lord love a duck, she looked like Mrs. Astor’s pet horse, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, forevermore, I looked like the town tart, etc… Yes, we shared many good times together. I thank God for all the good memories❤️

Your Mom was someone special! Always a loving homemaker protective and proud of all of you! She also had such a sense of grace! I remember my Mom always sharing photos of me when I was living in California. She was happy to see me when i would visIt my Mom and later… Nancy. i give her so much credit for stepping our of her comfort zone at the time selling Avon and working at Thelmas. May she rest in peace in the arms of your Dad! ( Mrs. Martin…back then, It always Mr. and Mrs. ) …I will always remember you! With love, Peggy Mesec

I am so sorry for the loss of your Mom. I loved your Mom & Dad. Your Mother was always so kind and your Dad was a hoot. He would share kohlrabi with us. His garden was wonderful. One night soon after we moved in, he came running in the house to show up the night blooming Cyrus in full bloom. They were kind folks. Full of days gone by stories! We live directly behind Tammy. I always enjoyed out visits. May they both rest in peace. Much love from Roseland~
