Gregory Quentin Gilbert, 61, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on November 6, 2024, from natural causes. Born in Kenmore, New York, Greg was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, known for his vibrant spirit and kindness. His presence brought joy to everyone who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.

Survived by his devoted parents, Joe and Carol Davis of Vero Beach, and his siblings Raymond Gilbert (Karen), John Gilbert (Cheri), Dawn Delamater, Fran Bolanis (George), Kim Lisses (Lewis), and Alan Davis (Vanessa), Greg was the heartbeat of his family. He is also reunited in peace with his brother, Norman Gilbert, who preceded him in death.

Greg treasured his lifelong friendships, nurturing bonds with people from all stages of his life, from his youth in Buffalo to his time at Pennsylvania State University. His love for travel, laughter, and the Buffalo Bills was matched only by his care for those around him.

Though Greg’s presence will be missed in our daily lives, we find peace knowing he is with the Lord and loved ones who passed before him.

A private celebration of Greg’s life will be held with family and close friends in his honor.

Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

God Bless Greg my childhood friend from High School at Williamsville North ! We lost track of each other for several years ! Then thru Facebook we were able to reconnect through his Sister Dawn. It was like we never missed a beat in our Conversation, told me he was in the insurance business in Fla near his parents and he was helping them as much as he could ! I was in Fla about a year and a half ago and tried to get together with him at that point he had just gone thru a car accident and was healing up at his Mom’s house ! So I stopped by Ray’s bar Kitty O’shea’s and we had a blast reminiscing about all the old times on Cottonwood growing up! From that point on I’ve stayed in touch with Greg and we spoke about 3 weeks ago and said he was doing well ! Thoughts and prayers to the Gilbert and Davis families ! Sad I won’t be able to fly to Fla as I’ve just returned from Cali ! I will be with you all in thoughts and pray for healing ! God bless all of you as the last time I was with you all was at Storming Norman’s funeral

Such a great guy. Always enjoyed seeing Greg in Florida, talking about the Lord, things going on in the world, and just about anything. The whole family will miss him. He was such a dynamic part of it.

Greg was such a close, nearly life-long friend. He was always the life of the party, so supportive, and someone you could always count on. Greg has given us a lifetime of fun memories and will be so deeply missed. We pray that his family and friends can find peace and know that he is in a better place.
