STRAUSS, Harriette Jane (née Hubbard), 86 of Vero Beach, Florida died Wednesday, July 14, 2021 peacefully in her sleep. Born in Floral Park, New York, Harriette lived in Huntington, New York and in Lake Mohawk, Sparta, New Jersey before moving to Vero Beach, Florida where she lived for 34 years.
Harriette was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be remembered for her kind, gentle spirit, and caring nature of which she imparted on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Harriette is survived by her husband, Dennis Strauss, her children: Laura Mangiola, Theresa and William Zinsmeyer, Elizabeth and Robert Cecere, Andrew and Sarah Strauss, and Peter Strauss, and her 7 grandchildren: Bettina, Corinna, Elisa, Isabelle, Sara, Samuel, and Nolan, and siblings: sisters, Ave Siecinski, Catherine Holden, Peggy Sell, Agnes Rishell and brother, Joseph Hubbard. Predeceased by brothers Frank, William, and John Hubbard and parents Catherine (née O’Hare) and Frank Hubbard.
Harriette was an insurance agent and worked for Arden-Waddell Insurance for over 15 years.
A Memorial Service in her honor will be held at a later date.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. Please know how very sorry I am. I worked with Harriette at Arden-Waddell Insurance and she was one of the kindest people I have ever met. We had discussed dying and she like all of us wanted to die in her sleep. God heard her and blessed her.
