Harry D. Carlson, 95, passed away on March 10, 2016 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. His beloved wife, Peg Carlson was by his side.

Harry was born May 10, 1920 in Dover, New Jersey, the son of David Carlson and Anna (Peterson) Carlson. He served in combat in Europe during WWII as a T/Sgt with the U.S. Army 71st Infantry Division. After the war, he was employed by the Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ, as Administrative Division Chief from which he retired. He has been a resident of Vero Beach for twenty-one years.

Harry was predeceased by all seven siblings along with his first wife of 20 years, Grace Wellington. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peg (Stroud) Carlson, nephews, nieces, and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1708 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach on Saturday, March 19th at 11:00 am. A reception will follow.

Interment will be in Chester Township, NJ.
