Henry Albert Bock was born on December 8, 1934, in Paterson, NJ, to Anthony Henry Bock and Anna Louise Lucas Bock. His mother passed away June 27, 1942, when Henry was 7 years old and he moved to Vero Beach in 1941 to live with his grandparents.
Henry was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, Class of 1952. He graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry in 1957.
Following his graduation from UF, Henry entered the U.S. Army and spent two years stationed in Alaska. He enjoyed his time in the Army as a tank radio operator and earned an expert marksman medal. He was always quick to share fond memories of his time in Alaska.
On August 9, 1959, Henry married Ann Frances Nelson of Oak Hill, WV. They resided in Vero Beach, and raised 3 sons: John, David and Mark Bock.
While living in Vero, Henry worked two years for an insurance company, seven years for Piper Aircraft and 22 years for Ciba-Geigy (Novartis).
Hunting and fishing were his lifelong love, an interest he shared with his children and grandchildren.
His greatest interest during his life was studying the word of God and sharing it. He was a faithful servant at First Baptist Church for many years, serving as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. Later in life he faithfully attended several other churches and his men’s bible study group, where he loved getting to know everyone.
He is survived by his son John Bock (Jessica), David Bock (Amy), Mark Bock (Amanda) and 9 grandchildren: Kate, Haldemz, Jessieanne, Grant, Davis, Jessie, Isaac, Maddie, and Eli.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2016 and will be interred with her at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Grace Baptist Church, 1285 43rd Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Henry was a dear friend when few of us were left from our Vero Beach High School class of 1952. When my husband of 63 years passed away in 2017 his heartfelt message was the most comforting of any I received and was the beginning of a warm friendship. I will miss Henry.

Henry and his wife are individuals of great generosity whom I have had the pleasure of knowing for many years. Their kindness has been a true blessing to my family. During times of need, Henry’s actions have exemplified the principles of a devoted Christian, serving as a model for us all. Mr. Bock was a great man. I grew up with his sons, so I’ve known him for most of my life. He was a very loving husband, father and friend. He loved the Lord our God and was a devout member of the Baptist Church. He would read the Bible to us every chance he could. He taught me a lot about Jesus Christ and faith in the Lord. He was a smart and talented, gifted man. He would help me in other neighbors with many projects. Especially fixing automobiles. He was kind and generous and nice to everyone around him. I will surely miss him, but I know that he is happy in heaven now with his wife Ann. Thank you for many wonderful years Mr. Bock.
