Herman Willy Taube, III, age 63, passed away August 6, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Florida from Big Bear Lake, California.
Mr. Taube served in the United States Army. He earned his Master’s Degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California.
Herman was a Geologist and Ground Water Specialist for over 30 years. Retiring from Geology and Groundwater to spend more time with his family and loved ones.
Herman was a member of Nimble Nomad, Fort Myers Beach.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Taube; mother, Joan Peterson Myers; sister, Heidi Purcell; son, Derek Taube; daughter, Karla Taube; stepson, Kyle Melanson; stepdaughter, Nicolé Paradiso; and two grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Herman Willy Taube, Jr.

Herman’s love for Leni made theirs one of the greatest love stories. He would come to our office on several occasions to bring her lunch or surprise her with iced coffee. They would sit outside on our front porch giggling like teenagers. I would catch them smooching in the hall and have to holler that they should get a room. He was always so loving and attentive to Leni. I know he is watching over her now.

Herman made my friend Lenora so very happy and for that I loved him!! His kindness, joy of life and loving spirit are what made him such a special man. I know he will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. Lenora, you and the entire family remain in my prayers. I just know Herman is in heaven right now having deep discussions with Jesus. He walks on streets of gold and has received his inheritance!

Just meeting a year ago as new neighbors, it was easy to spot the “love birds” as we gathered each morning for the dogs meeting. Herman was such a free spirit and truly enjoyed life. What a blessing for all who knew him and especially for Leni who he adored. It was my pleasure to have known him, if only for a short time. Prayers and good memories to the family.

My sincere condolences to the Taube family. I am so sorry to hear that Herman passed away. Herman and I worked together on many exciting engineering projects involving groundwater modeling. Herman was not just a great hydrogeologist but he was a great person and I honored to have been able to be his friend. RIP Herman.

Oh Dad, not a day goes by where I do not think about you. Your birthday is tomorrow and I scored tickets to a comedy show. It was meant to be that I had gotten them on your birthday for a sold out show. Your way of telling me to go laugh and have fun with you on my mind. If feels like yesterday I received the call that you were being rushed away. So many times on my car rides I want to call you and tell you of all the things that are going on. I just learned that Hermann passed away so young last year. We did not know each other, I am your cousin from Germany, you never answered my contact request via Facebook.
