Howard Russell Bridges Jr. 81 of Sebastian, Florida Passed away April, 4th 2023.
Howard was born in Dayton Ohio. He was predeceased by his father Howard Bridges Sr, mother Myrtle Poorbaugh and his late wife Janet Myers.
He is survived by his brother Michael Bridges, and his sister Jeannie Youngblood.
He also has four children, Tracy, Stacy, Jack, and Tina. Four grandchildren Crystal, Tiffany, Brittany, and David. Eight great grandchildren, Christopher, Jonathan, Noah, Connor, Sabrina, D.J, Spencer and Teresa; and his dog Pete.
Howard served in the United States Army. He retired from Consolidated Freight-ways Trucking. He lived on the West Coast of Florida for many years, until he moved to Sebastian 5 years ago. He was a member of Sebastian Church of Christ.
After retirement Howard enjoyed, volunteering, flea markets, fishing, bicycling, and church. He loved going to his great grandchildren baseball games and just being closer to his family. He also didn’t go anywhere without his dog Pete.
There will be a service at Sebastian Church of Christ on 1045 Main Street, Sebastian, FL 32958 at 4:00 p.m. on April 16th, 2023.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to HALO Rescue Shelter.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
