Irene P. Rossmell, age 90, passed away February 5, 2019 at her home, in Vero Beach surrounded by loving family.

She was born May 11, 1928 in Harrison, New Jersey to the late Theophile and Karzmjera Piszczatowski.

Irene has been a resident of Vero Beach, since her retirement from Westinghouse, Newark, New Jersey in 1981.

She was an avid Steelers and Dallas Cowboys fan, rooting along with each game. Her love of the lotto was known by all. Irene enjoyed waking up each morning to check to see if she had became a millionaire.

Mrs. Rossmell was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church.

She had many hobbies including knitting and sewing. She loved to share these handmade gifts with family. Her generous heart didn’t stop there; she also knitted many blankets and comfort items for children at Boystown, Shriners, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Family was very important to Mrs. Rossmell. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had great pride in the accomplishments of her family and enjoyed a long fruitful life, relishing each moment she had with family.

Survivors include son, Joseph (Cathy) Rossmell; daughter, Annemarie; grandsons, Joel (Jennifer) Rossmell and Adam (Kat) Rossmell; great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Jarren, and Ethan Rossmell; many nieces, nephews, and close friends she has made over the years, including her friend of 80 years, Madeline; along with friends Jay, Irene, Carol and Marge.

Mrs. Rossmell was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles J. Rossmell.

The family will receive friends 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 with a service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
