Jack was my mother Lorena Roberts, cousin. Fanny Roberts, was my grandfather Joe Roberts Sr., sister. We always enjoyed being with dear Linda and Jack. He was such a Southern gentleman and she was such a lady. We had many good times, with them at Fort Pierce, family parties, and Vero reunions. It is difficult losing someone you love, and who loves you in return. Particularly a parent. My sincere, sympathy, Your Yankee, Cousin, Carolyn Bilotta McNeil.

So very sorry to read of Jack’ death. He is now rejoining Linda, the love of his life. Jack and Linda were very very dear friends of my brother Mike. Vero has sadly lost another long time native. To Jack and Linda’s kids, you were blessed with such nice parents. Hold those memories of them close to your heart. My deepest sympathies to all.

I used to see Jack on Saturdays, when he would come to pick up his brother Hank, (who was my next-door neighbor), to play golf. I often spoke with Jack and Linda when they visited Hank and Helen, and who could forget Lindas deep Southern drawl? They would bring me a variety of citrus, including blood oranges, which I had never seen. Jack was always smiling, and a true gentleman. Now there’s another Metz to miss. May he rest in peace.

I lived close to his mother for many years and she was so kind, just like Jack and Linda. I miss that instant smile of Lindas and Jacks kindness all these years and loved bumping into them while out. Vero will miss them and their legacy. So glad to see all of the family they passed down their love to. Remember those good times and their love for you
