Jacqueline Sue Padgett, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015, after an extended fight against cancer.
Jacqueline was born January 27, 1943, in Muncie, Indiana.
She is the daughter of Emma G. Cravens and John L. Martin, and sister of Cheryl M. White.
Jacqueline graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1961, where she once served as Prom Queen.
In 1963, Jacqueline married the love of her life, Morris, and they celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary this past June.
In addition to raising three children, Jacqueline worked as an office assistant and bookkeeper for more than 45 years.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Morris Padgett; sons, Lawrence Padgett and Charles Padgett both of Vero Beach; daughter, Susan Scarpa of Longwood, FL; four grandchildren; six nieces and four nephews; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
The family will greet friends from 3 � 4 p.m., Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Jacqueline, to �Hospice House,� at VNA Hospice of IRC, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
