James E. Drinkard, Sr. of Vero Beach, Florida went home to be with the Lord on October 7th, 2023.
He was 80 years old and was born in Moultrie, Georgia. He moved to Indian River County in 1955.
James attended Pathway Church in Vero Beach. He retired from Publix as a meat cutter and enjoyed football, fishing, church, and time with his family.
He is survived by four daughters and one son: Cherie Gramm (Rob) of Hendersonville, NC, Angela Sophronia Drinkard (Ana) of Albuquerque, NM, Robin Johnson (Bill) of Selinsgrove, PA, Bonnie Adams of Lewisburg, PA, and James E. Drinkard, Jr. (Sara) of Vero Beach, FL; eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, a sister Carolyn Padgett of Tampa, FL, and a brother, Danny Leroy Drinkard of Dothan, AL.
James was predeceased in death by his mother Ella Mae Drinkard, his father Wilburn Drinkard, and brother Earl Drinkard.
A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

So sorry to hear about James, Jimmy and I have fond memories of our time on the boat, knee boarding. He was an amazing guy and fun to be around. Hugs to the family, miss you guys!!!
