James Harry Burkins, Jr., born February 23, 1949 passed away December 19, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam War, an avid fisherman, long-time member of AA and a follower of Carl Jung. He lived his life following Carl Jung’s doctrine and worked diligently to help others understand Carl’s words and ideas.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Cimonetti Burkins; daughters, Deanna Burkins of North Platte, Nebraska and Faith Burkins of Vero Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Gabriel Adorno and Trinity Day of North Platte, Nebraska and Kaylee Burkins of Loxahatchee, Florida; sisters, Joan (Larry) Carbaugh of York, Pennsylvania, Karen Sowers of York, Pennsylvania, Mary Shaub of Allentown, Pennsylvania; brothers, Gordon Burkins of York, Pennsylvania and Donald (Yvonne) Burkins of York, Pennsylvania; friend, Dietrich Stagemyer of York, Pennsylvania; multiple nephews, nieces, and close friends.
In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Jeffrey Allen Burkins.
He will forever hold a special place in our hearts – especially for all of us who shared his love and his wonderful sense of humor.
