James Lawrence Laney passed away on March 22, 2019 after a long illness at the age of 71.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on May 23, 1947 to Leo L. Laney and Evelyn Hooper Laney.
Jim spent time in Vero Beach visiting grandparents and family eventually moving here.
He worked for B.F.Goodrich, Piper Aircraft in several different areas, WTTB, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and Knights Armament. He was disabled in 2004.
Jim was a kind and friendly man with a unique sense of humor. Jim loved old radio shows and old television shows. He loved his family and will be missed.
Jim is survived by his sister Sharlene L. Kantorowski Akron, Ohio, brothers Michael Laney, Grapevine, Texas, Leo J. Laney Tanza, Cavite. His wife Dana Laney, ex-wife Shirley Gribble Brightwell and children, Cynthia Laney Peragine, Melbourne, Fl, Steven Laney, Robert Laney and Laura Mitchell Laney all of Vero Beach, FL. His grandchildren Elizabeth Laney, Steven Tyler Laney, Joseph Laney, David Chase Laney, Coral Bebout, Robert Laney, Daniel Laney, Tyler Pastor, Austin Pastor, Alexander Mitchell and Matthew Mitchell.
Jim was predeceased by his mother Evelyn Hooper Laney and his father Leo Lawrence Laney.
