James Scott Gore, 50, passed away on January 7, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Scott, a lifetime resident of Indian River County, graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1982. Scott served in the United States Navy for four years and was honorably discharged in 1989. He owned and operated his own lawn service for years and worked in the deli at Publix.
He loved spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Scott could often be found on his boat fishing or camping on his favorite island out on the Indian River with Cindy.
Scott is survived by his loving partner of 16 years, Cindy F. Hartsfield, his two sons, Andrew Scott Gore and Alexander James Gore, his two step-sons, Dustin and Austin Hartsfield, his sister, Ginger, and her husband Brian Burkeen, his step parents Richard Donnon and Sharon Gore. He is predeceased by his father Lonnie Gore and his mother Marlene Donnon.
There will be a gathering from Noon-1:00 pm with a memorial service following at 1:00 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home.

A celebration of life will be held at the Tiki Bar & Grill in Sebastian following the service.
