Jane Ross passed away February 6, 2015, at her home, on North Hutchison Island. Despite holding cancer at bay for more than two decades, she maintained an upbeat attitude along with compassion and community involvement.
Mrs. Ross had a storied life, including 6 years in the Air Force and 25 years as a successful business woman.
Jane and her husband, Ralph, moved here from Tucson, AZ in 1999. Upon seeing the beach, they fell in love with the area and have since enjoyed beachfront living and the quiet community.
Ralph and Jane met in Wiesbaden, Germany and later married in Basel, Switzerland. While overseas, they traveled to several countries and were later fortunate enough to live in many states including Las Vegas, Hawaii, Tucson, Arizona, Washington, D.C., and Florida, as well as Marco Island.
Along the way, Jane was a successful real estate agent in 3 states Nevada, Maryland, and Florida. She was also a gifted artist and her paintings are displayed throughout their condo.
Jane is survived by her husband, of 57 years, Ralph; son, Gregory Steven; grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Tyler and Jessica; great-grandson, Cullen; and her beloved poodle, Pepe.
There will be a private disposition on North Hutchison Island, at a later date.
