Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Janet Dailey Frantz (“Patti”), 85, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.
Born in Ashland, Kentucky, Patti was raised in a military family, which meant moving often during her childhood. Those early years helped to shape her into someone who valued close relationships and the feeling of home she later created for her family. Her early years took her to many places, including Ripley, Ohio, and even England, before she eventually settled in Ohio and later Florida. Over the years, she called Dayton and Centerville, Ohio, Coral Springs and Melbourne, Florida, and finally Vero Beach, Florida home.
Patti dedicated much of her career to helping others and supporting her community. She worked for Dayton Power and Light, served in Cardiopulmonary at Indian River Memorial Hospital, and later worked as an Administrative Assistant for Nokia. In every role, she was known for her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for those around her.
She found great joy in life’s simple and creative pleasures. Patti loved quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking—leaving behind treasured keepsakes for her family. She had a deep faith and cherished time spent with her church community, through volunteering, as well as reading and studying the Bible. Above all, she loved being surrounded by her family – her children, grandchildren, and dear friends.
Patti will be remembered for her loving, kind, and compassionate spirit. She had a gift for conversation, never meeting a stranger, and when asked she was always “just duckie” to those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Frantz; her daughters, Kelley Stolze (Brian) and Daniele Eaton (Brian); her grandsons, Zack Frantz, Josh Frantz, David Eaton, Johnny Eaton, and Dalton Stolze; and her favorite granddaughter, Nicole Nason. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Frantz.
A service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Vero Beach, Florida.
Patti’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
