Janet R. Dorney, age 73, of Vero Beach, passed away May 1, 2020 at Kindred Hospital, Melbourne, FL. Janet was born December 24, 1946 in Kingston, NY and moved from New Ringgold, PA to Vero Beach with husband, Ronald in 2014.
Janet loved the ocean and worked part-time at the Jaycee Park Seaside Grill and dined there frequently. Janet was a Wiccan and loved nature, animals, especially cats, and ancient Egypt.
Her survivors include husband, Ronald of Vero Beach; son, Jason Wisser of Herndon, PA; and daughter, Julie Thomas of Rock Hill, SC.

Ron, You and Janet are both very special people whom I have had the pleasure of getting to know many years ago. I was blessed to have the chance to guide both of you on your spiritual journeys. Both of you are amazing people and a great couple balancing one another and keeping each other grounded. I love you both each for different reasons, Janet for her crazy stubbornness and strong will. You, for your tenderness and open mind. Remember all that I taught you during this time of heartache and know Janet will always be with you. Janet has been such a big part of your world and although she is no longer a physical part, know she will remain in your soul until you meet agian as you know she will never leave your side. Hi, Very sorry to hear of Janet’s passing. My cousin from Allentown, PA saw it in their local paper and called me. I am her cousin but have lost contact with her years ago. I grew up in NJ but now live in VA. I have met Jason and Julie when they were very young and have heard a lot about them from their Grandparents. I have lots of fond memories of Janet from Allentown and Pecks Pond. I am sorry for the loss to your family. Dusty Frenk

Janet and I were best friends in 5th grade at Muhlenberg Elementary school in Allentown. I can still picture us chasing each other around the playground. Her picture looks almost exactly like she did in 5th grade with reddish hair.Lost contact with her after that but immediately recognized her in the obit in the Morning Call.
