Joann Margaret Davis, 95, passed away on May 10, 2022, at VNA Hospice House.
She was born October 5, 1926, in Port Salerno, Florida to the late Roswell and Eleanor Pickard and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 1966.
Joann was a Ground School Instructor at Flight Safety International. She later served as the Legal Aid for both Dale Padget and Chester Clem when they served as elected State Representatives. While in session, she spent her time in Tallahassee working in many areas of government.
She and her husband, Elwin, had a love for flying and they were proud owners of a Piper Cherokee plane. Joann had a love for dancing and was a member of the Happy Hoofers Line Dancers group that entertained at numerous facilities throughout the county.
Survivors include her son, Gerald (Rose) Davis; daughter, Margo (Frank) Knowles; four grandchildren, Robert (Alina) Davis, Lynn (Robert) Johnson, Melanie (Steve) Marteney and Heather (Adam) Spencer, and nine great-grandchildren.
Joann was predeceased by her husband, Elwin W. Davis and her brother, Donald R. Pickard.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
