Joaquim Paulino Marques “JP”, age 85, passed away on October 20, 2025, at his home in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Amoreira, Portugal and moved to the United States in 1973.
In his final days, he was cared for by his loving wife of 53 years Elenize Marques, sons, Carlo (Carrie) and Mark (Callie) Marques, daughter, Tanya (Tommy) Hyde.
JP is survived by grandchildren, Emilio Marques from Colorado; Barrett, Rebecca, Vivian Marques from Vero Beach, Charlee and Lucy Hyde from Vero Beach, Max and Maggie Marques from Vero Beach, and his son, Louis Paulino of Portugal.
He was predeceased by his father, Paulino Marques, mother, Aboboriz Maria Marques, brothers; Inacio Marques, Jose Maques, Antonio Marques, and Tomas Marques.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 4:00-5:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service immediately following at 5:00 p.m., at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
