Jon E. Goff passed away on July 13, 2021, in Vero Beach, Florida. He was born on June 13, 1962, in Live Oak, Florida, and was a lifelong resident of Vero Beach. Jon graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1980. He married Teresa Davis in 1983, and they shared two children, Ashley and Jeremy. Jon worked at Northside Nursery with his grandfather, acquiring the business in 1993, until he sold it and retired in 2016. During those years, Jon served many people on the Treasure Coast with his knowledge and expertise in the horticultural industry and maintained many loyal customers.
Jon lived a life of service. His Christian faith was an important part of his life, and he served the church in many capacities, including deacon, Sunday School leader, prison ministries and various other missions in the community. As a jack of all trades, Jon also loved using his construction and repair skills to assist his many friends and family members. Jon shared his father’s love of quail hunting and raising bird dogs, a passion he shared with his son, Jeremy. Jon’s most cherished retirement activities were spending time with his wife, Teresa and their grandchildren, Rhett and Brynn, and riding the tractor on his property. He was a devoted family man, and he was loved and respected by everyone who knew him.
Jon is survived by his wife of 38 years, Teresa Goff, daughter Ashley Callahan (Blake) of Vero Beach, son Jeremy Goff of Tampa, grandchildren Rhett and Brynn Callahan, with baby Asher on the way; brothers Len (Becky) and Kevin (Peggy) Goff, both of Tallahassee, Florida, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hillman and Glenda Goff.
A Memorial Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Vero Beach on Saturday, July 24, 2021, with family greeting friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., the 11:00 a.m. service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Source, 1015 Commerce Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32960.
Arrangements by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

We are just two of the many lives that Jon touched during his life. We’ll always remember his words of wisdom and amazing stories. His infectious smile and laugh. The love that radiated off of him for Teresa, Jeremy, Ashley, Rhett and Brynn. They were his whole world. To watch him walk his grandkids to school in the morning truly warmed your heart. Jon you will be missed, but never forgotten.
