Joseph E. Nunes, III passed away July 8, 2025 at his home in Vero Beach.
He was born November 27, 1935 in Taunton, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Josephine Nunes, Jr.
Mr. Nunes served in the United States Navy.
Joseph retired from the Avco Everett Research Laboratory which was renowned for developing technologies related to high power and energy lasers, including gas dynamic, electrical discharge, and chemical lasers.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 14, 2025 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Survivors include Craig, Joseph, Colby and Reese Nunes and JoAnne Correa.
Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
