Joseph Stafford Dillon, Jr., age 72, passed away August 14, 2019 at his home in Vero Beach, FL.
He was born January 29, 1947 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Joseph and Emily Dillon. He was a graduate of Wingate College and Western Carolina University.
Stafford lived in Key Largo, Florida for 25 years, prior to moving to Vero Beach, Florida. He enjoyed the laid-back lifestyle of locals and owned and operated a successful dive business, Scuba-Do, for 18 years.
Mr. Dillon was a member of the Corvette Club of Vero Beach and a member of First Baptist Church, Asheville.
He is survived by beloved wife of 49 years, Beverly; daughter, Wendy McDaniel; son, Chris Dillon; and 3 grandchildren.
A service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2019 at First Baptist Church, 5 Oak St, Asheville, North Carolina.
