Katherine “Brent” Welch, age 81, passed away January 17, 2019 at Willowbrooke Court of Indian River Estates.
She was born June 16, 1937 in Middletown, Ohio to the late John Henry and Katherine “Scottie” Faunce, Jr. She was a graduate of Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. Growing up, she enjoyed horseback riding.
Brent enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She loved traveling and adored her poodle companion, Willie. She was an accomplished bridge player.
In her time at Indian River Estates, she loved playing bingo, hosting the friendship table and helping with services in the Chapel.
Survivors include daughter, Leslie (Tom) Welch Taylor; son, Andrew (Halle) Berkshire Welch; 3 grandchildren, Grayson Welch Way, Andrew Boyd Welch, Sydney Diana Welch; brother, John Henry (Ann) Faunce, III; and nephew, Jack.
A Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Indian River Estates East Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Acts Legacy Foundation Chapel Fund, 2100 Indian Creek Blvd East, Vero Beach, FL 32966.
