Keith F. Liotta, age 53, departed this life Nov 8, 2022. He was born on Long Island, NY and moved to Vero Beach, FL during his middle school years. He graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1988. He worked for Clements Pest Control for several years after high school. He reached his goal of being hired by the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office in 1995. He aspired to be a law enforcements officer like his father was. Keith would go on to have a very successful career in varied positions within the Department. His proudest role was that of Sergeant of the Civil and Warrants Unit. He was well respected as an expert in this role. One of his proudest moments came when he received a Lifesaving Award from Vero Police Department for pulling a man from a burning house. He also received a Tactical Award in 2000, Going the Extra Mile Award in 2006, and the Exceptional Duty Award in 2010. Even after his retirement, he would receive phone calls from employees and even lawyers asking for Keith’s advice in legal service matters.
No matter how he felt, or what he had going on at the time, he always made time to encourage and support his children. He never missed an honor roll assembly, a baseball, softball, football, and volleyball game, or a graduation. His support and dedication to watch his children achieve their goals was truly unmatched. Most recently, he was joyous to attend his son’s graduation from the University of Florida and he had the honor of walking his daughter down the aisle.
Survivors include his Wife, Angela; Children, Keith “Kal”, Lyndsey (Jad); Mother, Jeanette; Sister, Lauren (Sam); Dogs, Bo, Copper, and Romeo.
He was predeceased by his father, Anthony and brother, Tony.

learning of your passing still hasn’t truly sunk in yet… We hadn’t seen each other in many years… But the bond of such great childhood frieinds could never be broken of erased… We were literally raised together from the day that I was born and we both lived on Waterside Avenue in Northport. I have so many amazing and funny childhood memories of our younger days and I will NEVER forget them or you…. My friend…. I am learning of how many peoples lives you touched during your time here on earth. May you now rest in peace. Love you my friend. I am so very sorry that we didn’t reconnect sooner.

Although we only moved a few miles away, it felt like a million. There would be a new school, a new house, new neighbors, new everything and I was secretly terrified. The first person I met when we got to our new house on Waterside Avenue was Mr. Tony Liotta. Northport P.D. I think he even whipped out the badge, which I soon learned would benefit Keith and his friends well at the local McDonalds, Movies, etc. Mr. Liotta told me he had a son my age and on cue Keith comes walking down the street and onto his front lawn sporting that grin of his. He instantly befriended me and my fears of what was to come were immediately forgotten. His entire family became my family from that moment. Keith, Lauren, Anthony, Tony and Jean are one of the best parts of my childhood. Keith and I reconnected via Facebook in recent years and we became confidantes of sorts and that meant more to me than I think Keith knew. Thanks for everything, Keith Liotta.

I knew Keith in Jr. High and High School. He was always quick with a joke, and had an infectious laugh. He was a good guy. We lost touch after graduation, but caught up on social media, usually liking each other’s pictures of our kids. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Keith’s family. RIP, my friend.

Keith you always made our work day a joy with your wit and laughter. I was so happy to know you were a Seinfeld fan and got the one liner references when others were scratching their heads?Your energy was always positive even if the day was a bit hard. I’ll miss the “googly eyes” you always made and the green bean casserole…I’ll think of you every time with a smile. Your race is done and you’ve made it home..rest easy my friend..we’ll see you again! Hug my sis Eileen for me! Deepest condolences to Angie, Kal and Lyndsey… he loved you all so and his face would light up everytime he would speak of you all. A life gone sooner than we’d like, but lived well.
