On Monday, July 25th, 2022, Kenneth Edward Bryant passed away peacefully in his Vero Beach, Florida, home at the age of 73.
He was born on December 20th, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Kenneth Milton Bryant and Mary Helen Brosius Bryant. He grew up in Lakeland, Florida, where he graduated from Lakeland High School in 1966, and went on to attend Junior College in St. Petersburg, Florida. He then joined the US Air Force, serving during the Viet Nam War, and received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sergeant in 1975.
Following his military service, he continued his education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, and earned his Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Following his graduation from USF, he made his home in Vero Beach, Florida, where he worked various jobs over the years, including Assistant Golf Pro at Riomar Yacht Club, Bartender at the Menu Restaurant and Food Manager at Sea Oaks Beach and Tennis Club. He owned and operated KB’s Café for a short time.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth, and his mother, Mary Brosius Grant, and is survived by half-sisters, Kathy Bryant Duncombe (Billy) and Sheryl Bryant Glenn (Darrell), both of Vero Beach, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; his girlfriend of 12 years, Nancy Caulfield, of Vero Beach, Florida; and long time friend, Eddie Morris, of Virginia.
He will be laid to rest at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Lakeland, Florida, in November 2022.
