Lillian Doherty Maguire passed away in the early morning hours on Sunday, November 24th at the age of 80. Born to immigrant Irish parents William Doherty and Lili Murphy in Philadelphia on April 9, 1939. She joins her siblings in passing, James, Catherine, Margaret, Luke, and John. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, J. Kevin Maguire. Lillian lived a life of grace, devoting her life to others; she spent her career teaching, later served the mentally handicapped, always cared for her neighbors, and doted on her pets. With an unwavering spiritual foundation, she was committed to God, her faith and the church. Lillian is survived by her grateful children Christopher and Mary, and her grandchildren Lawson, Lily, Liam and Norah Rose. A gathering will be held at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, December 4th from 6-8pm. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 AM at St. Helen Catholic Church.
