Louis Fitzpatrick, 89, passed away on March 16th in Vero Beach, Florida. He was the son of Christopher and Helen (Blackburn) Fitzpatrick. Lou graduated from LaSalle Academy and the University of Rhode Island where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
He was a Korean War veteran.
Lou was a salesman and branch manager in building materials and later owned and operated a stage curtain and commercial drapery business before retiring to Florida where he managed condos in Palm Beach and Vero Beach.
Lou was a Rotarian in Essex, Connecticut, an Elk in Jupiter, Florida, an American Legionnaire, and a member of Palm Beach Community Manager’s Association.
Loving travel, Lou and his wife covered much of the world. Lou also enjoyed spectator sports. He was an avid fan of Notre Dame and the New England Patriots.
Lou leaves his wife of 64 years, Patricia (Cronin) Fitzpatrick and his daughter Kerry Fitzpatrick-Quick (Jeffrey), his grandchildren Alycia and Matthew Quick and Michael, Mark, and Mimi Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his sons John and Brian.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John of the Cross Church on Monday, March 27th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Memorial Giving 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
