Margaret E. (Peg) Mako (nee Borchard), age 83, of Vero Beach, Florida, died June 10, 2019, at home. She was born June 16, 1935, in Rochester, NY.
Beloved wife of the late Larry Mako, Peg is survived by her children Robert P. (Sara), William L. (Bonnie), Bonnie J. (Jay) Freundlich, and Barbara A. (Allen) Douglas; ten grandchildren: Anthony L. (Leah), James D. (Leeanne), Joseph A. (Hiliary), Brooke A., Bethany M., Brenna M., Dale M. (Justin) Scott, Dean M. Freundlich, Matthew P. Douglas, and Kristina K. Douglas; and three great-grandchildren, Ellen M., Rosie J., and Tucker D. Scott; Sister SaraJane (Bob) McDowell or Walnut Creek, CA; and Brother Bob (Linda) Borchard of Greece, NY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Mako, whom she married January 26, 1956; and her parents Ralph and Peg (nee Moynihan) Borchard.
Peg enjoyed visiting with family, swimming, walking, puzzles and was an avid reader.
Peg will be laid to rest beside her late husband, Larry, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Conneaut, Ohio. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 am on June 13 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, Florida, with private interment at a later date in Conneaut, Ohio.
