Marjorie Ada Argyropoulos passed away peacefully in her Vero Beach home on Friday, March 30, 2018. She was born Marjorie Ada King in London, England in July, 1926.

During WWII, she met her loving, husband, Jim, and they married in September, 1944. A few months later Marjorie was one of a few dozen brides on a hospital ship traveling to America to meet and live with Jim’s family while he stayed in Europe for the remainder of his U.S. Army commitment.

Marge and Jim settled in the Washington, D.C. area in 1945 where they raised their children. In 1978, they moved to Vero Beach where they enjoyed a very active retirement. Marge always looked forward to visits from her children and grandchildren when she and Jim would take them to the beach, the pool, Dodger’s games and Orlando theme parks. Marge enjoyed baking, sewing, bowling, golf, swimming, walking, and shopping. Jim and Marge loved traveling and took many trips throughout the U.S. and Europe as well as cruises throughout the Caribbean. Marjorie loved Vero Beach. After 10 years in Vista Royale, Marge and Jim moved to Grove Isle where she lived for 30 years. She loved her community and for most of her years was an active participant in the HOA.

Marge was a beautiful woman who was known for her infectious smile, her love of dancing, her grit and enthusiasm for life.

Marjorie is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Carol Greeson, (Jerry), Janet Miller (Claude) and son, Paul Argy – her five grandchildren, Jennifer Greeson Dunn, Kristen Kessler, Kimberly Estes, Kate Kellogg and James Argy, also, four great grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, William and Corrine.

The light of Marge’s smile will always shine brightly in my memories of her. She drew you in with a welcoming look and warm conversation, listening, sharing, laughing, caring. My husband, daughter, and I met Marge 13 years ago when our son, Perry, met and later married her granddaughter, Kristen. Our hearts join with the family’s hearts in the loss of this great lady, and we lift you all in love and prayer.
