Marjorie A. Hinton, 83, died peacefully Sept. 8, 2015, at Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Born Nov. 21, 1931, in Olean, New York, she moved to Vero Beach with her parents, John and Marie Forney, in 1937.
A 1949 graduate of Vero Beach High School, she worked at Wodtke�s Department Store and as a bookkeeper and Egan Fickett, Fort Pierce.
A longtime member of the Garden Club of Indian River County, she served as its treasurer for 10 years. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vero Beach.
She is survived by daughters, Lyn (Chris) Blahnik and Lee (Larry) Reisman, both of Vero Beach, and Jan (Shane) Styron of Sebastian; a son, John Edward (Patty) Hinton, of Vero Beach; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sue Ann Hinton.
A private service will be held at a later date.
