Marvin Duane Whiting, age 87, passed away on July 27, 2025, in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1975.
Marvin owned and operated the Sea Vista Motel and the Western Auto, both located in Vero Beach, FL.
He graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in Wayne, MI in 1955 and attended Northern Michigan University on a math scholarship.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Gayle; daughter, Tami White; son, Dale Whiting; granddaughter, Lori (Trey) Higdon; grandsons, Patrick Whiting, James Bass, and Kevin White; great-grandchildren, Chandler Higdon, Avery Higdon, Austin White, and Jase White; brother, Art (Barbara) Whiting; sister, Darlene Whiting, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Marvin was predeceased by his father, Marvin Whiting; mother, Agnes Whiting; sister, Nancy Noll; and sister, Diana Clark.
Entombment will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 6026 U.S. Hwy 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34946.
Memorial contributions in Marvin’s name may be made to H.A.L.O. No-Kill Rescue Shelter, 710 Jackson Street, Sebastian, FL 32958.

Gayle . This is a classmate of yours Judy woodruff Gilbreth live in Claxton Ga for 60 years now. So sorry hear of the passing of your husband . I’m sure he will be missed by many. Sound like he had a wonderful family and a very successful life. May you find comfort in family and Gods love, and grace.
