Mary Ann was born August 1, 1951 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She grew up in Bethesda and Potomac, Maryland, graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1969. Mary Ann attended High Point Collect, Montgomery College and the University of Maryland.
After college she had a 25 year career in the travel industry, working in Maryland, Arizona and North Carolina. In 1993 she moved to Vero Beach, FL. She worked as an administrative assistant in the body shop at Ken Puttick Buick Cadillac, retiring in 2004.
Mary Ann loved reading, traveling and quilting. She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Igoe Rafftery Hershey and her father William R Rafferty and step father Harold L Hershey. She always said she was blessed to have 2 fathers.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years James C Wilson Jr in Vero Beach FL, her son James C Wilson III (Kathryn) and beloved grandchildren Lucy Miles Wilson, Charles Rafferty Wilson, and Claire Marie Wilson of Safety Harbor FL. She also leaved her brothers William Rafferty Jr of Rockville MD, James (Cheri) Rafferty of Del Ray FL, Johnny and Greg Rafferty of Vero Beach, and step brothers Donald and Richard Hershey of Rockville MD.
