Michael Anthony McGillvery, 37 years of age, passed away on January 19th, 2025, in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
Michael was born in San Diego, California to Ronnie McGillvery and Suzanne Broder.
Michael loved his wife Asjona, his family, his daughter Michaela, sister Victoria, his family, and the beach, more than life. His passion was cutting hair. Mike was a well-known master barber and his nickname was Master Barber Mike Two-time. He was known for his work from Vero Beach to Melbourne, Florida.
He graduated from Vero Beach High School.
Survivors include his wife Asjona McGillvery; daughter Michaela; mother Suzanne Broder (David); father Ronnie McGillvery (Christina), grandmother Michelle Cook (Terry); sisters Victoria Odumu, Amanda McGillvery, and Alyssa McGillvery; aunt Annette Martin (Reese); uncle Billy Terry (Debra); cousins Hannah Martin, Clay Coulter, and Holden Martin.
Michael was predeceased by his grandfather Dennis Gentle.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.
Flowers may be sent to Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach on Tuesday January 28th, 2025 by 9:00am to honor Michaels memory.

Michael, may you rest in eternal peace knowing that the many lives you’ve touched are forever enriched from having known you and that you’ve left our world better than you found it. You were a beautiful and vibrant soul and we’ll forever cherish your memories. My firstborn, my son, one of the loves of my life. Though he may not have chosen the paths others thought best, he was always a blessed gift to me and our family. Michael was deeply loved by so many.
He had a passion for his craft, cutting hair, a trade he cherished and excelled in. His talent and dedication touched countless lives, just as his vibrant spirit did. Michael lived fully, loved deeply, and laughed wholeheartedly. He was the embodiment of life itself.
I know in my heart that he never wanted this outcome for himself, but life has a way of unfolding in ways we cannot always control. Even so, I am profoundly grateful to have been his mother, to have witnessed his joy, and to have felt his love.
I am comforted knowing he was surrounded by so many who loved him, just as he loved them. His memory will forever be a light in our lives, a testament to the beauty of his soul.

my big brother Michael I love you with my whole heart and I will miss you. May forever your legacy and your craft will live on through the people who knew you. I always looked out for you and I always checked in with everyone to make sure you were okay and safe and happy. One thing I will never forget is that he loves what he did which a lot of people cannot say that they do. I will always remember our love for Pokémon and sweet treats and spicy foods.
