The Woodfield Community was so blessed to have Nick, as a neighbor and friend. He was a caring, compassionate man with a fun loving sense of humor. He was so proud of his family and so devoted to his beautiful Carole Louise. We enjoyed his stories! He will be missed, but we are all grateful to have known, such a fine gentlemen. Carol and Jim

Peter & Family, Your father/husband was one of those unique individuals you meet in life and will never forget. So many fond memories as Pete and I were growing up, his great sense of humor and patience as we muddled through our teenage years was inspirational. I can still picture him holding court (card game) at the Quincy bus garage showing all the younger workers how the game was played as we begged to borrow the car for some adventure. Not surprisingly – as I read this obituary – he was was amazingly successful in his life and with loving family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Carol, Peter & Bobby – I was saddened to learn of the passing of your husband/father in the Patriot Ledger. On just the day before learning of Nick’s passing, I had passed by your former home in Wollaston on the way to the Clam Box and I wondered what had happened to Nick and his family. I remember fondly my association with him during his time on the BSA Troop 20 Committee. He was a great supporter of his two sons, always eager and willing to lend a hand on a trip or a paper drive. He had a great sense of humor and sense of caring for others. He was always there to support whatever undertaking. When my fifth grade class at the Snug Harbor School invented a “Charlie on the T” game, Nick arranged for a group of my students to visit the maintenance facility of the MTA in South Boston to see for themselves how the T operated. It was a great thrill! He was truly a great man and will be sorely missed! I share your sense of loss!

Both Nick and Carol are my Godparents. I feel like I’ve just lost a little piece of my parents who were good friends of the Rossi’s. I have some very lovely, warm memories of Nick. God bless and give him rest. My love and best to Carol. Love, Diane Masionis St. Ours

I would like to thank each of you for your thoughts about my Dad. Harold, thought you would like to know that I helped lead our local Boy Scout troop while our son was growing up. On the day he passed, he had played tennis (at 97) and then cards that night. He never quit playing and I miss him dearly. For some of us, it was like he could live forever. My parents were married for 76 years, there aren’t manny people who can make that claim.
