My daughter Theresa saw this in the World Herald and called since I don’t take the paper. Rick lost interest in it when he was in nursing home before his passing. I remember all the good times Rick and I had with you both being on the Elkhorn Fire Department and then dances at Denker Ballroom. Oh the good ole days are the best to remember as now things are not the same and never will be but God helps us get thru it all. Ann, I remember working for you when you had the beauty shop in your home and then we rented the basement when first married. So many good memories. I am so sorry about Paul but I think he had a great life. You are all in my prayers for peace, strength and comfort. God Bless and love you!

Patsy Peterson Schmidt and Mick Peterson send sincere sympathy to Ann, Lynn, and Melanie. The Spilman family were part of our childhood friends. Paul and our father served on the volunteer fire department. Our block in old Elkhorn was loaded with young families. Saw Lynn and Barb at Bob and Chris Staben’s 50th anniversary. We feel your loss. It seems like another door on our past has closed.

The world isn’t the same without Paul in it. Paul was always wonderful to be around. If he wasn’t making you laugh he was about to. I’m happy to say I have many stories of time spent with Paul and they all make me smile. He was a dandy and so grateful to have known Paul Spilman. My thoughts and prayers are with Ann and the entire family left behind.
