Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.
Paul Edward Bloom, a business owner in the Vero Beach area, and long-time resident, lost his battle with cancer on July 30, 2021, at the age of 54.
Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on October 31, 1966, Paul was a true son of Pittsburgh, bleeding black and yellow through and through. As a child he moved to Florida where he would set his roots for the remainder of his life. While living in Fort Lauderdale he mastered his craft of upholstery as well as creating the foundation for his business. During this time, Paul met the love of his life, Lori. The two later relocated to Vero Beach, raising their three sons.
Paul was an avid traveler, motorcycle rider, gun, and antique collector. He enjoyed spending time with his sons, teaching them to ride dirt bikes and volunteering at Cub Scouts, as well as attending their many sporting events.
An amazing father, Paul instilled a hard work ethic in his sons and gave them the world. Paul was a true romantic at heart, often bringing flowers and other surprises to Lori. He was a generous friend, always available when needed.
Unfortunately, on July 8, 2020, Paul and Lori lost their beloved son, Dillon. A difficult time, and with Paul’s health declining, they stuck by each other through the loss of their youngest son.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lori; his sons, Jim (Meghan) and Dean & his fiancé, Ashley; his granddaughter, Gabriella; his mother, Rita and father, Theodore; and his sister, Laura.
The family will greet friends from 1 – 2 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 with A Celebration of Life service to follow at 2 p.m., at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory.
Paul is remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew him!
Arrangements by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory, Vero Beach.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Paul was absolutely one of a kind. I met Paul I’m guessing in the mid 90’s. We became friends. I met him thru his Upholstery Business, and then helped out at times as he put up his buildings. He was extremely talented, a sharp mind, and a good “friend”. I witnessed him help so many people thru the years. “fly me away to the bright side of the moon, meet me on the other side”. RIP my Friend, “The Dreamweaver”

Paul was an amazing friend to my family. My son Tyler, and family have beautiful fun memories at Paul and Lori’s especially New Year’s as well as 4th of July. Paul and Dillon always had the best fireworks display, and of course Lori with her good cooking!!! What a beautiful family!!! My thoughts and prayers for Lori as well as Paul’s family.

I will definitely miss Paul until my end. Paul was the best friend I’ve ever had. He had so many friends that I’m sure I probably wasn’t his best friend. I am so grateful that I got a chance to tell him that I loved him just before he passed and he said the same to me. Paul gave a hell of a lot more then he received. I never asked him for anyting that he did not say yes, even if I did not deserve it. I will definitely miss my friend and brother. Paul and Lori have been like a brother and sister to me for a long time and if there is anything I can ever do for you Lori all you need to do is ask. I love you sis.

Paul was more than a cousin. More than a friend. He was a true “brother” and not to just me. He would see someone without a shirt on dirty and broke. He’d turn around. Go back and give them a shirt he had. Then he’d load them up to take them to buy them shoes, food, and a pack of smokes. It didn’t matter he never saw them before. For his real friends he would help u anyway possible. He had the most wonderful amazing wife Lori. He was blessed to have 3 great sons Jim and his wife Megan, Dean and his family, and last is Dillon. When Dillon passed I think it broke Paul’s heart. His mom Rita was there for him his entire life as was his dad Ted. I can remember being a little boy maybe 9 or 10 and Paul and his buddy Otto came up to PA to help move us down to Florida. Boy I think my admiration for him started then. He was always the coolest guy in the room. He built a business and helped and taught so many people thru the years. He taught me a trade I support my family with. Bought my home. Bought my Harley and toys with. I wish we would have had a chance to do that lunch before the end. I really am a recluse person but I wanted to tell u in person. Thank you Paul. U are one of the people who helped make me into me. U taught and gave me things that cannot be bought. Valuable lessons in life. In work. And in the beat interest of me or the situation. I don’t wanna accept this reality but I know I am going to have to accept it. I love you brother. I’ll miss you and I’ll see you on the other side. Rest easy bro

So many great memories of Paul, Robbie (Pierce) & my brother, Todd. These guys had a brotherly bond that started in high school and lasted no matter where their lives led them. Reading all these tributes shows that Paul was the true and genuine good man to so many. In 2004, Paul and Robbie dropped their lives and came to my house and made our home wheelchair accessible so his friend, Chris could come home from the hospital. This was the kind of brotherly love that was there for the good times and the really tough times too. To Lori and Paul’s boys, your husband and your Dad left this earth, but not the hearts of all that he touched. My sincere condolences to you all. Paul, Rest In Peace and thank you for making a difference in our lives. Gone too soon. Love, Dawn Castro Nunziato aka Dawn Holcomb.
