Peter Burton Sample, age 58, passed away August 9, 2017 at VNA Hospice House.
He was born December 21, 1958 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to the late Burton and Rita (Cushing) Sample.
Peter attended Maryland College of North Carolina.
Mr. Sample served in the United States Army and spent time in South Korea working on missile systems. He also served in the United States National Guard as a Radar Technician. He retired from the military in 1998.
Peter was a member of Vero Christian Church. He volunteered in the Shining Light Community Garden and was an excellent role model when mentoring children.
Survivors include wife, Cecilia; sister, Linda; nephews, nieces, aunts, and cousins.
He was predeceased by brother, Leo Sample of Northampton, Massachusetts.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Vero Christian Church, 3250 9th St SW, Vero Beach, FL 32968.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dogs for Life, Inc., 1230 16TH Avenue, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Pete was a good friend of mine in high school. He had a 1964 GTO convertible. We had a lot of fun in those days. RIP old buddy.
